As result, Henkel has developed Henkel Benzoxazine Resins, as an alternative to the traditional epoxy chemistry that has served the aerospace industry for decades. The new resin resins enhance mechanical performance and durability. In addition, it was a 2010 JEC Innovation Award Finalist.

In addition, Henkel has partnered with Airtech International to offer tooling carbon fiber prepregs for the manufacture of composite tools using Henkel’s Benzoxazine resin. The tools maintain vacuum integrity and offer good dimensional control.
